Digital Booking System - Instructions

Our digital boat booking system provides an easy-to-use way of booking LMRC boats - whether you're at the boatshed, or at home!

At the boatshed the booking board is shown on TV screens, automatically updated every few minutes to show the current bookings.  Boats can be booked at the shed using a simple QR-code based booking process on your own mobile phone, or on the club-supplied tablet.

Away from the boatshed you can use your own devices to view the current booking board, book a boat, or manage your boat bookings

Since all bookings are stored centrally on the club's RevolutioniseSport platforms, you always have a current view of boat bookings - regardless of where those bookings were made

Before we get started...

The online booking system works best when you have logged in to your LRMC account on the device or computer you're using.  You only need to do this once on each device, and it will save data-entry and additional login steps when managing your boat bookings

How do I see the booking board when I'm at the boatshed?

Large screen TVs showing the booking board will be positioned downstairs at the workbench and upstairs on the mezzanine.  The TVs will automatically update to show the current bookings, regardless of where those bookings were made

For each boat, the board will show you:

• The boat name,
• The type of boat (4X, 2X, 1X)
• Its weight rating,
• Whether it's suitable for Sweep rowing,
• Whether it's damaged, and
• All the bookings for the upcoming week, split into two sessions per day

Boats are split between Club boats (general use) and Race boats (race crews prior to regattas only).  Tinnies are also shown!

How do I book a boat when I'm at the boatshed?

Easy.  Each boat has it's own individual QR Code.  Simply scan this with your mobile device and you will be automatically taken to a booking page for the boat.  From that page you can see the details of the boat, select the date you want to row, and then the session you want.  From there you will be redirected to the Revolutionise Sport bookng page, with everything pre-filled and ready to go!

You can also view any existing bookings for the boat, as well as seeing any bookings that you've made for any of our boats

Away from the Boatshed

How do I see the booking board when I'm away from the shed?

The same booking information that you see in the boatshed is also available on your own devices - either desktop computers or mobile phones.  Simply open your favourite web browser and go to:

The booking board is responsive to the size of the monitor that you use or the orientation of your phone.  On a desktop computer, the board will move to a single column when the screen is narrower or a two column layout when the screen is wider.  In either case, the board works exactly the same.  Similarly, when your mobile phone is in portrait mode the board is presented on day at a time - but turning the phone to landscape mode will show the full board

How do I book a boat when I'm away from the shed?

You can do this directly from the boat booking board.  It's as simple as finding the boat you want and clicking on the session that you want to book.  If that session is avialable, you'll be automatically sent to the RevolutioniseSport booking page where you can complete your booking. 

If you've already logged in to the club's RevolutioniseSport platfrom then all you'll need to do is click the "Confirm" button and you're done.  If you haven't logged in, you can still just enter your details in to make the booking

You cannot book sessions that have already been booked, or where a boat has been marked as damaged

Note that in this example, the "Manual Refresh" button was clicked in the footer to force an immediate update of the booking board. 

The board will automatically update every few minutes, but you can click the refresh button to force an immediate refresh (which may take up to 30 seconds to completed)

How do I cancel my booking?

Boat bookings are stored in RevolutioniseSport, so you manage your bookings from your account page in that platform. The are two ways to easily get to your bookings page from our booking system.

From the Booking Board (on your computer or phone)

The righthand side of the Booking Board's footer has a link that takes you directly to your bookings page. It looks like this:

Both these links will take you to your boat booking page

The Upcoming Bookings section allows you to canel upcoming sessions that you've booked, simply click the cancel button

You can also access your upcoming bookings from the link on the Boat Booking page. 
Tip: this is useful when you use a QR code at the boatshed! 

Oh no! The boat is damaged, how do I report it?

The boat booking page has a link that lets you easily report damage to a boat.  To access the boat booking page, either scan the QR Code if you're at the club, or click the boat name on the digital booking board using your phone or computer.

Then click the Report damage link on the boat booking page

A damage report form will be shown.  Fill it in to the best of your ability and click "Submit Report".  The club will be notified automatically
