Yearly Renewal and First timers Awareness AED and CPR Training
We are privileged to engage Kelly Pietsch, of Mid Coast First Aid & Safety Training again
to deliver an awareness course on how to use an AED (automated external defibrillator) as well as CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) training.
This year's course will be Saturday 21st of March 09:00 – 10:30am upstairs at the club house.
If you require a certified course for work, Kelly can also issue RTO Accredited certificates. Please enquire with Kelly on 0409 453 884 and mention our club in regard to pre work for this.
About the course
Quick decision-making to recognise and assess a cardiac emergency, call for medical assistance and perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) procedures will increase the chance of survival for a person who is unconscious and not breathing normally.
In this CPR course, you will learn these skills along with using an automated external defibrillator (AED), how to rotate first aiders with minimal interruptions to compressions.
Course Outline
●DRSABCD action plan and responding to emergency situations.
●Managing unconscious breathing casualties.
●Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
●Using a defibrillator (AED)
●Legal issues in first aid.
●Infection control.
